UETA Jamboozie 2013

The Streets of Historic Downtown Laredo will come alive with musical entertainment as Laredo Main Street kicks off their 15th annual UETA Jamboozie Festival on Saturday, January 26, 2013 from 5 p.m. to midnight.
Considered the most exhilarating event of the Washington’s Birthday Celebration, Laredo Main Street’s UETA Jamboozie will not disappoint with this year’s line up of food, fun and most importantly entertainment.

President Hector “Tito” Garcia announced the musical entertainment for this year’s lively street party will include headliner band La Mafia.  The award-winning Latin Band has recorded over thirty-seven albums in the past three decades.  No small fete for a group that began their musical career in Houston, Texas.

Taking on the other five stages throughout the grounds of the Downtown District are local bands Ric Cortez, Bobby Benavides, Quinn, Mick Cruz and Randy Tate, Wild Root, There Be Dragons, Juda Haze, Mud River, Bad Reputation, Kaova, Vankuver, and Banda Show Internacional.

The entire family will also enjoy the high point of the festivities, the Mayor’s March Parade featuring masked drummers, dancers and decorated cars. An added feature will be performers from Cirque de Soleil who will take to the streets with their whimsical acrobats and colorful costumes.
